Community Offerings

Thank you to everyone who supported our Give and Give Back Online Auction! We were thrilled to offer an array of wonderful gifts to the community while also being supported in return! We hope that everyone enjoys the amazing items they bid on and purchased!

Did you know that Cahoots holds many events outside of full scale productions? Writers' rooms, panel discussions, community gatherings, even personal meetings with artists we've yet to meet. (Yes, we consider an online lunch date with a young playwright to be an event - and one we're always quite excited about, at that!) An array of virtual programming for anyone who'd like to take part, from the comfort of your home, is always on the go. Find our many offerings to the community here.

GRADually

Recent graduates who fall under our mandate… our GRADually workshop returns for the third consecutive year! Being fresh out of theatre training can be daunting. You've finished your program and are ready to start a career — but you don't know many folks in the business, or whom you even need to know. How does a new grad build their network and increase their knowledge? GRADually! We love being introduced to new theatremakers. Come and tell us who you are, what you've done, what you're into and what your goals are. We’ll happily share helpful info and hints!

Included will be Financially and GRADually, our budgeting workshop for independent theatre artists and intro-to-the-industry workshop for new grads — this time both for larger audiences. Also on the docket is an encore presentation of Tanisha’s Directed By session; The Stage Is Yours — a traditional open stage for singers, instrumentalists, songwriters and poets; Hang, an introductory meet & greet with us for new production managers/designers/stage managers who fall under our mandate; the very first in-person PepperPot gathering for theatre students of colour, and more… Keep your ears to the ground for all of the info, and join us next June!
